Neuer stable Treiber MyODBC installieren

- Ich möchte nach der Installation von MySQL 4.0.11 den Treiber MyODBC
3.xx installieren (neue stable Version) , (Anwendung mit StarOffice)
- ODBCunix ist installiert von Suse 8.1
Dann erfolgt folgende Fehlermeldung:

linux:/home/klemens/RPM-Quellen/MySQL # rpm -Uvh
MyODBC-3.51.06-1.i386.rpm
error: failed dependencies:
        libmysqlclient_r.so.10 is needed by MyODBC-3.51.06-1

Bei mysql.com steht unter der Unix-Installation folgendes:

2.1.2.1 Installing from RPM distribution

To install or upgrade the Connector/ODBC from rpm distribution on the
Linux system, simply download the rpm distribution of the latest version
of Connector/ODBC, and follow the instructions below:

    $ su root (to become root)
    $ rpm -ivh MyODBC-3.51.01.i386-1.rpm (in case installing first time)
                         'or'
      if the driver already exists, upgrade using:
    $ rpm -Uvh MyODBC-3.51.01.i386-1.rpm

In case if there is any dependancy error for MySQL client library,
`libmysqlclient', then simply ignore it by supplying --nodeps, and then
make sure the MySQL client shared library is in the path or set through
LD_LIBRARY_PATH.

This installs the driver libraries and related documents to
`/usr/local/lib' and `/usr/share/doc/MyODBC' respectively. Now proceed
onto configuring the DSN on Unix.

To uninstall the driver simply become the root, and execute

    $ rpm -e MyODBC

Über kfind habe ich alle libmysqlclient - Einträge aufgelistet.
Ich habe nicht die obige Anweisung verstanden. Muß der Pfad irgendwie
angegeben werden?
