Wie bekomme ich den höchsten wert aus einer spalte

Ich hab ein problem mit dem ermitteln des höchsten wertes aus einer spalte.

Z.b.

Wert1|content|...
1    | text|
4    | text|
2    | text|


Jetzt soll mir die abfrage nur den datensatz geben mit dem höchsten wert in
spalte wert1.
Wie kann ich das anstellen?
