I'm sorry to intrude your German mailinglist, but my German written is sofltly said "horrible", I can speak it, but that won't help now... :-)

 

1. does anyone know an english mailinglist for mysql on windows?

2. I got that annoying error after my installation:

 I dit not gett an icon in my Star/Programs menu?When executing "mysql" in the C:\mysql\bin dir,        I get subsequent error:"Error 2003: Can't connect to MySql server on 'localhost' (10061)".   I used the sharewareversion of this site "http://www.mysql.com/download_win.html".  Is this a client or server version, and where can I get THE version that works?
