Probs beim starten von MySQL !

Moin,

habe folgendes Problem. Beim versuch MySQL zu starten gibt er mir folgende
Fehlermeldung aus:
ERROR 2002: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket
'/tmp/mysql.sock' (111)
Das mysql.sock-file existiert nicht. Was kann ich machen, damit ich die
Sache zum laufe bekomme ?
