Installation mysql Windows 98

Hello,
is there someone who could help me with the following problem?
I´m trying to install mysql. Everything worked, but when starting 
mysqld there is the message:
Cannot initialize InnoDB as 'innodb_data_file_path' is not set.
So how can the path be set?
