schau Dir mal die PEAR-Bibliotheken an. Dort gibt es ein Auth-Modul für
LDAP.

This package provides programmers with a system to generate authentication
mechanisms to add protection to websites. The package is based on PHP
built-in session support and can use different storage containers such as
the PEAR database interface, LDAP servers or plain text files to verify the
identity of the user.
