$ wget -nd http://ftp.cvshome.org/cvs-1.11.1/cvs-1.11.1p1.tar.gz
$ tar xzf cvs-1.11.1p1.tar.gz
$ cd cvs-1.11.1p1
$ ./configure && make && sudo make install
