Du hast "memory_limit" eingeschaltet. Will heissen, dass (in Deinem
Fall) das Skript nicht mehr als 8 MB Speicher belegen darf.
Aus dem Manual:

| memory_limit integer
|
|    This sets the maximum amount of memory in bytes that a script is
|    allowed to allocate. This helps prevent poorly written scripts for
|    eating up all available memory on a server.

Setze also memory_limit auf einen fuer Dich vertretbaren Wert groesser 8
MB (und falls PHP als Servermodul installiert ist, starte den
HTTP-Server neu).
